Alcoholic beverages contain all the minerals necessary to sustain human life.

These essential minerals include: calcium, chloride, chromium, copper, iodine, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sodium, and zinc.

Beer contains a total of more than 30 minerals and trace elements, which mostly come from the malt used in the brewing process. Two pints of beer almost covers half of the adult daily requirement of magnesium, 40% of your necessary phosphorus and 20% of your needed potassium. On the other hand, beer is very low in sodium and calcium.
