In 2008, the United States consumed 3.6 zettabytes of information.

One zettabyte is equal to a BILLION TRILLION bytes. We can’t even…process…how much information that would be! The University of California San Diego calculated that the average American brain goes through 34 gigabytes of information on a daily basis. That’s more than two iPod nanos worth of info per day!
